The Role of International Adjudicative Bodies in Prosecuting Genocide Crime: A Case Study of International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY)

This paper is intended to explain the urgency of formation International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY), as an ad hoc international court based on United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution No. 827 1993, try perpetrators genocidal crimes against ethnic Bosnian Muslims. The crime genocide originated from conflict that occurred in federation Yugoslavia. research was conducted by using a qualitative method, analysis data sourced journals, books, and other electronic sources. results conclude Muslim ethnicity one form while threatening peace security Balkan region, also break practice impunity criminals who are common enemy humanity (hostis humans generis).
